Ball mill operating procedures and maintenance

1. Before starting the grinding machine, check whether the connecting bolts are tightened, the key of the gear, the coupling and the tightening of the feeder.

2. Check whether there is enough oil in the fuel tank and reducer, and whether the oil pipe and oil circuit are unblocked.

3. Check whether there is any debris around the grinding machine and the classifier, and then use the crane to turn the ball mill for a week to loosen the ball load and ore in the cylinder, and check the gear meshing for abnormal noise.

4. The starting sequence is: first start the grinding machine, then start the classifier, after everything is running normally, then start feeding the mine.

5. During operation:

(1) The grinding machine is not allowed to work under the conditions of overload (ball loading) and insufficient material supply. During use, the grinding medium (ball) is added regularly and quantitatively from the feeder inlet.

(2) Grease the main bearing once every shift, and always pay attention to whether the temperature rise is normal, the motor voltage, current, temperature, and sound conditions.

(3) Regularly check the tightness of the liner screws to prevent accidents caused by loosening, displacement or falling off of the liner.

(4) Check the lubrication of transmission components such as large and small gears, main bearings, and classifier reducers.

(5) Observe whether the front and rear end caps, cylinders, discharge trough, and classifier overflow trough are blocked or leaked.

(6) Always pay attention to changes in the nature of the ore, and take appropriate measures in time according to the situation.

(7) Hardening materials are not allowed in the feed trough of the combined feeder to prevent damage to other parts during startup.

6. When stopping the grinding machine

It is necessary to stop the miner first, and after the ore in the barrel is processed, stop the motor of the grinding machine, use the lifting device of the classifier to lift the spiral out of the sand surface, and finally stop the classifier.

7. overhaul

In order to ensure safe operation and prolong service life, planned maintenance must be done:

(1) Minor repairs: once a month, including temporary accident handling, mainly minor changes, focusing on replacing vulnerable parts such as liners, spoon heads, adjusting the meshing of bearings and gears, and repairing leaks.

(2) Intermediate repair: once a year, major cleaning and adjustment of equipment components, replacement of a large number of vulnerable parts.

(3) Overhaul: In addition to completing medium and small repair tasks, focus on replacing and repairing major parts such as hollow shafts and large gears.
