2022-06-09

CHALLENGER Exploration has completed the final 80,000 meters of its 204,000-meter drilling program at its Hualilan gold mine in Argentina, and its first announced resource of 2.1 million ounces is expected to grow significantly.

Current resources include 6.3 million tonnes of skarn-type ore at 5.6 g/t gold equivalent, or 1.1 million ounces of gold equivalent, and 41.4 million tonnes of intrusive/sedimentary ore at 0.8 g/t gold equivalent, or gold equivalent Equivalent to 1 million ounces.

“Importantly, we have discovered extensive high-grade skarn-type mineralisation, exceeding expectations, accounting for more than half of the total,” the company said. “Based on existing drilling results, more skarn deposits are expected to follow. It is found that the amount of resources will be greatly increased.”

The length of the gold ore body along the strike is 3.5 kilometers, and the current resources cover only 2.5 kilometers.
