Turquoise Hill, Canada, says it is still using trucks to transport Mongolian copper concentrate to China

2021-12-02

A spokesperson for Turquoise Hill, a Canadian mining company controlled by Rio Tinto, said the company is still using trucks to transport copper concentrate from Mongolia’s Oyu Tolgoi to China. This means that the supply has not been affected by recent restrictions on rail imports in some border cities in China.

According to Rio Tinto’s official website, Oyu Tolgoi is one of the largest known copper and gold deposits in the world.
