Uses
The classifier is widely used in ore dressing plants to be combined with ball mills to form closed-loop circulating split flow ore deposits, or used in gravity concentrators to classify ore and fine mud, and to perform particle size classification of ore pulp in metal dressing processes and ore washing Desludge, dehydration and other operations. The machine has the characteristics of simple structure, reliable work and convenient operation.
Working principle
The screw classifier is based on the principle that the solid particles are different in size and specific gravity, so the settling speed in the liquid is different. Fine ore particles float in the water and overflow, and coarse ore particles sink to the bottom of the tank.
A grading device that is pushed upward by the screw to discharge for mechanical classification. It can classify the material powder in the mill in the filter, and then use the spiral blade to screw the coarse material into the inlet of the mill to filter The fine material is discharged from the overflow pipe.
The base of the machine is made of channel steel, and the body is welded with steel plates. The water inlet head and shaft head of the spiral shaft are made of cast iron.
Classification
Spiral classifiers mainly include high weir single spiral and double spiral, low weir single spiral and double spiral, submerged single spiral and double spiral.
A low weir type overflow weir is lower than the spiral axis of rotation. Due to the small settlement area, this classifier is only used for the dewatering of sands and coarse particles with little mud in actual production, and it is rarely used in the grinding cycle.
A high weir type overflow weir is higher than the rotation axis of the spiral, but lower than the upper edge of the spiral at the overflow end.
This classifier has a lower settlement area and a larger weir type, and the height of the weir can be adjusted within a certain range, that is, the area of the settlement area can be adjusted and changed within a certain range, so that the size of the classification can be adjusted.
The sinking type one has 4 to 5 spiral blades at the end of the overflow weir, all submerged in the slurry.
The settling area of this classifier is large, the classifier pool is deep, and the spiral stirring has little effect on the surface of the pulp.
Therefore, the classification surface is stable and the overflow volume is large and fine. It is often used as the classification equipment for fine grinding or two-stage grinding in the production of mineral processing plants.
